lessons from lonny

i’ve always loved interior design and often find myself planning rooms in my head just for fun. i have enough enough interior pins to decorate the homes of the entire state of kansas, but finding inspiration and actually designing a real-life room are two completely different things. i have had the hardest time deciding what my style really is and what pieces will actually work in my soon-to-be home.

the march/april issue of lonny did inspire me to take a deep breath and realize that there really are no rules to designing your space. buy what makes you happy and create a space that is comfortable and fun. let the shopping begin!
