food blogs: a collection

happy thursday! today marks the start of a new series. excited? me too. each week will be a collection of sorts that will hopefully introduce you to new places and faces. the first collection is all about something very dear to my heart: food.

i read quite a few foodie blogs. i love trying new recipes at home and one of my favorite parts of travelling is experiencing all kinds of fun local spots. as a designer, i find myself most drawn to food blogs with clean, user-friendly spaces and beautiful photography. this collection is what i believe to be the very best combination of approachable recipes + fabulous design.

1 // i am a food blog – this. blog. is. fantastic. each recipe is completely branded. i fell in love so hard the first time i visited.
2 // spoon fork bacon – another well designed site. each post incorporates something different, whether it be beautiful photos of the raw ingredients or a fun animated gif. if you do one thing with your life today, make those asparagus fries. seriously, do it.
3 // roost – i go in and out of phases of wanting to eat really clean and well for my body and this is always the site i turn to for beautiful recipes that taste really great. her photos are just plain dreamy and will make you want to eat your fruits and veggies.
4 // love & lemons – the recipes here are mostly vegetarian and use really simple and fresh ingredients. again, the photography will make you want to jump through your screen.
