everyone who knows me is aware of how extreme my procrastination can get. turns out, when it comes to moving, procrastinating is not a very good idea. who knew?

that’s right ladies and gentlemen, i move in three days and have yet to lay my hands on a single cardboard box or roll of packing tape. maybe it’s because all i can think about is this. in any case, right about now i’m wishing i had a little fairy dust to sprinkle over those empty boxes to watch them magically fill up with all my junk.

do you guys ever have days where your music is just really good? welp, today is one of those days for me. i’m currently obsessing over this song, and this one, and this one, too.

sometimes when i’m working i turn my music up really loud. it keeps me on task and inspired and happy. but cover art is equally as inspiring. those are some of my all time faves down there. what have you been listening to lately?

the combo of rainy days and a stolen phone has made me less than a happy camper lately. it really is quite silly how attached you can become to that little piece of plastic. do you know how many times i have reached for that thing to check my email, look up a recipe, text a friend or call to track my sofa order for the thousandth time in the past 48 hours? too many, my friends. toooo many. i have a replacement coming in the mail today and that helps me breathe a little easier.

i came across this little gem of inspiration today and knew i had to share it with you. swedish hasbeens is a throwback to the stylish in the 70′s. how perfect are these photos?

i’ve always loved interior design and often find myself planning rooms in my head just for fun. i have enough enough interior pins to decorate the homes of the entire state of kansas, but finding inspiration and actually designing a real-life room are two completely different things. i have had the hardest time deciding what my style really is and what pieces will actually work in my soon-to-be home.

the march/april issue of lonny did inspire me to take a deep breath and realize that there really are no rules to designing your space. buy what makes you happy and create a space that is comfortable and fun. let the shopping begin!
