it’s wednesday, which means the week is nearly halfway over. cheers to that! and it is now october, which means it’s time to organize my life to where it (mostly) makes sense. this is hard for me because i live in a world of organized chaos, and for the most part that works for me.

i’m in the middle of a portfolio + blog redesign as well as a few freelance projects that need to be wrapped up by the end of the month. organizing my blogging + work schedule is going to be a huge but important and rewarding process. i also want to take this next month to focus on where my money is going (online shopping has officially become a problem) and try to save on the things i don’t need so that i can put it towards buying some really great pieces for my home.

i have made a conscious effort to do small organizational tasks such as cleaning my dishes right after cooking a meal, picking up my clothes right after i’ve taken them off and i even organized my space over on pinterest. go me. do you all set goals for yourself? i would love to hear your opinions + suggestions for succeeding!

i have a long term goal of having a beautiful house of my own and decorating it just the way i like. i could absolutely move right on into any of these three houses tomorrow.

the summer issue of lonny made my heart stop a little. and not because i discovered justin timberlake has designed a collection of home accessories (what?).

i want those vases in my arms right now. and the mirror if it will fit.

i would be stoked to have any of these bright and cheerful pieces in my home. what’s your favorite piece from rachel castle’s collection?

i currently am a full-time employee at a web design firm here in kansas city, but i also do some freelance work on the side. for me, it is so important to have a clean, inspiring work space because i get distracted very, very easily. i’ve been thinking of ways to make my small, cereal box of a room relaxing, creative and spacious so that i can get the maximum amount of work done at every sitting.

i’ve found a few spaces on this here internets that i would absolutely die for. from photography to an amazing piece of furniture, other artist’s work, a beautiful color palate or even just great organization can be incredibly inspiring to me.
