is it friday already? i’ve been doing some brainstorming this week on adding some new columns here at for the love of design. i’ve come up with a few that i think you just might really enjoy. hopefully i’ll have something snazzy for you next week.

it’s weekends like this one that i get a little sad that i am not still in school. shouldn’t adults get president’s day off too? it is, however supposed to be nice this weekend so i plan on living my (only two) day weekend up with a bike ride and maybe attempting to improve my photo-takin’ skills. these images gave me that idea. my oh-so-apparent love for stripes is the main reason i was drawn to them, but i also love photography that takes an ordinary object and allows you to see something special – like pattern!
