this weekend was kind of dreamy. dreamy in the fact that i did exactly what i wanted for two whole days. i’m taking the risk of sounding like a huge cheeseball right now, but i rediscovered the things that i love the most and take for granted quite often. do you ever have those realizations? i spent a lot of time in the sun exploring my city, ate a ton of fresh fruit, slept in without worrying about any form of a to-do list, spent a whole day with my precious sister sunning ourselves and got to see my pup before he goes in for surgery tomorrow. i also worked a little on a project that i am all kinds of excited about.

when i came across heather bullard’s beautifully styled images, i couldn’t help but fall in love with the quote at the bottom of her site. “let the beauty we love be what we do.” isn’t it romantic? as an artist, i find a lot of comfort and happiness in those words. i hope it inspires you to do all the things that you love today.
