a few weeks ago i decided to take advantage of the amazing fall-like weather and explore the city solo. i grabbed a coffee and headed down to the west bottoms. every first weekend of the month the antique district opens up and is full of all kinds of goodies that bring in quite the crowd. there is so much to see! i seriously could have spent an entire day in my favorite store, good juju alone. i would have loved to bring home several mid-century modern pieces of furniture, but decided attempting to carry anything to my car over 20 pounds by myself would be a sad, sad mistake. so i settled for a super cute brass sea urchin and was happy.

sunday was a long walk and a trip to the farmer’s market, which resulted in lots of veggies to juice including the cutest mini cucumbers. i love going out and trying new places with friends, but sometimes experiencing things on your own can be just as exciting.

this weekend will not be spent alone, however. there is a pool, good friends and a corona waiting for me on the other side of this work week and i could not be more happy about it! i hope your weekend is a relaxing one, friends. let’s enjoy this last taste of summer, shall we ?
